KASHIF IS THE
FOR DEMOCRATIC DISTRICT LEADER
Expecting people to be registered to vote in a specific district a full year in advance only serves to undermine community engagement and civic involvement. Kashif is committed to making our democratic process more inclusive.
Kashif wants to ensure term limits for District and Party Leaders, supports public financing of judicial campaigns, and wants to give our community the power to unseat corrupt elected officials.
The New York Health Act is essential in providing equal opportunity to high quality health care. Kashif is determined to fight for the health and well-being of our district. He will hold our elected officials accountable and fight to make healthcare accessible.
I'VE BEEN ORGANIZING AND SERVING MY COMMUNITY FOR YEARS AND I WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO AS YOUR NEXT DISTRICT LEADER.
I am a co-founder of the Pakistani American Youth Society (PAYS), a nonprofit organization that works to unite the community by providing a central communal space for meetings and activities. We encourage engagement by organizing town hall events, workshops and open discussions with community leaders, members and local merchants.
AN ENGINEER WITH A PASSION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
I began my engineering career with a desire to make a positive impact not only on our community but on the environment. My first project was the Brookfield Landfill Remediation working with the Department of Environmental Protection. This 132-acre site is now a park with a mixture of forest, wetlands and streams that our city can be proud of.
AUXILIARY POLICE SERGEANT
One of my greatest honors has been serving our community as an Auxiliary Police Sergeant in the NYPD. Following the tragedy of 9/11, I felt it was more important than ever for our diverse community to be represented among the ranks of law enforcement professionals who put their lives on the line to serve and protect our communities.
CERTIFIED EMERGENCY FIRST-RESPONDER & CPR INSTRUCTOR
CPR training helped my family avoid tragedy when my new born son suddenly stopped breathing. Years later, I've committed myself to ensuring that every individual and family has access to this life saving knowledge. I became a certified EMT and CPR instructor and give free classes within our community, having trained more than 600 neighbors in our district.
